Very nice Breakout game with an unusual graphic style. We especially liked the soundtrack. Our German-language review can be found at 03:15:27. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. πŸ™‚

Really enjoyed watching this! Thank you for playing and your review! Really appreciated!

Made a video of your fantastic game on Amiga 4000 with CRT.

OOaa!! Thanks so much for playing! And that monitor looks just amazing!

Excellent new Arcanoid style game, with great music tracks, I enjoyed playing it. I have also included it in my new video along with other recently released games. Hope you like it. Great debut game btw :)

Hey! Thank you so much for your feedback! I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed it!
And thank you again for including Callback in your video - looks awesome!

Hey, I hope you don't mind, but I have put your awesome game in this months best homebrew games video.

Hey! Oh that's great! Thank you so much for including Callback in your video!

My pleasure :)

I added your game to Lemon now. Suffered some slow-downs on A1200 plus FASTRAM config, but nothing serious. I completed it at first attempt (easy mode) on notebook with touchpad(!) only, without RMB slo-mo though, only LMB lasers. https://www.lemonamiga.com/games/details.php?id=5131 Nice game, will advance on real Amiga with harder modes to complete it properly.

Sweet! That's great to hear you finished it!
If playing on laptop touch pad, you can use X and C keyboard buttons for laser and slowfx :)

Yes, on a1200 with 2meg fast ram, some rare and minimal slowdown can be experienced when a boss has spawned too many of its defences. Should not really affect the gameplay.

Good luck on the XTRA mode :D

Played this at Amiga40 and it's great fun with an absolutely killer soundtrack!

Thank you very much for visiting Pink Parrot at Amiga40!!
And very happy to hear that you liked Callback!

Thank you for your game and a good chat around at A40! Will add it to LemonAmiga.com as soon as I recover from the event :)

hey! It was super nice meeting you!!! Looking forward to it!!
yeap, in recovery mode here too :)))

Played this today at Amiga40, great game and I love the twist on the classic arkanoid/breakout… lasers, slow-mo, bosses… awesome!

I look forward to seeing more releases!!

thank you so much for visiting pink parrot at amiga40 and playing Callback! Very happy you enjoyed it!!

Stay tuned - next release is close!!!

i love this concept ;)

DUDE! :)

This was very creativ! Very fun and cool. Well done!!

But for me it only worked in FS-UAE not on real hardware. None of the version did. Whdload, HDD or ADF. That was a real bummer!

You did test it on real hardware??

I do have an 030 cpu and 64MB of ram, but still I have never had any problems with my own Scorpion game or others.. :-(

Is it AGA hardware? A1200 or A4000?

(+1)

Yes, Amiga 1200 with an accelerator. OS3.2.3 and 030 CPU and 64MB of ram.

That is strange cause on my A4000/030 with 32MB fast I have no problems.

That is good to hear! I am glad its working on most Amigas. Could it has something to do with the OS 3.2,3? What do you have?

(1 edit)

I doubt it has anything to do with the OS version but I have 3.0 roms and workbench 3.1 in my A4000. I had some problems with other Scorpion Engine games on my A4000. I think that is the problem.

thank you so much for playing n support!
minimum requirement is aga with 2 meg chip ram.

I can confirm that it runs absolutely perfect on my stock aga machine with 2meg fast ram.

please let me know your setup n we see whats going on…

It was weird I will admit that. My setup: Amiga 1200 with OS3.2.3 a 030 CPU and 64MB of fastram.

The HDD glitched out after trying to load the forst CEO. The other versions just blinked and did not start. I tried many others games including my own SE game just to make sure it was not a hardware failure. But no worries i can try it on my Amiga mini or my CD32. 😊😊

hmm, very strange… the only difference i think could be related is os3.2.3… but thats just a guess… which accelerator card are you using?

Cd32 version also needs 2 meg fast ram.

In my CD32 I have a terriblefire card. 8MB of fast. In my 1200 the accelerator is made by Stephen Leary? Not sure 🫣🫣And yes I was thinking the same as you that it could be the OS. But then again my game also made in Scorpion Engine worked fine, so did all the others. But no worries at all, was just abit bummed out at once. I will of course continue to support as much as I can in future AMiga project if you are going to make more games?

You are very creative, i love that!

Anyway have a great rest of your weekend. :-)

All the best.

yes!! There is another project in the works which should be coming out pretty soon!!

thank you so much for your support!!!

Thanks :) will it run on ECS?

(1 edit)

im afraid ECS and OCS are not supported… i tried but, it slowed the game so much… its AGA mainly due to the 68020 cpu and its standard 2meg chip ram.

However you can play the game without any amiga, using the pc or mac builds :))

Well, there are many ECS users with 020 or better Out there.

This game is great! Very nice controls using original Amiga mouse. I play the game on my A4000/030 and the game is very polished. A great release for Amiga that I will play a lot! Thanks

thank you so much for the support!!! Very happy to hear you like it!
